We thought we would
share these nice testimonials from home and abroad:
Sorry for the
delay in replying but I've only
just got the bike home!
BT-H mag was child's play to
time compared with the old
points system and has attracted
at lot of positive comment and
attention whilst at Veralls but
only when it was pointed out as
it looks exactly like the
original Lucas magdyno! After
fitting, the Goldie actually
started first kick and continues
to be a great boon as it makes
the bike far more practical in
day to day use. No more
fiddling with the advance/retard
and no more kick-backs!
Finally, the unobtrusive earth
lead I will connect to a
hidden switch, making for an
additional anti-theft security
when say, paying for petrol and
the like. Overall, very, very
pleased and well worth the
money.

The Harold Parson Memorial Event
The Norton Big 4 ran like a watch. The trip was from Melbourne
to Maffra in Gippsland to the East of Melbourne, Lovely little
country town with a really good motor museum. The Maffra
motorcycle club has organised a Harold Parsons Memorial ride
there for the last 30 years. Worth Googling Harold Parsons. In
the 1920’s he rode an Indian Scout 1114.5 miles in 24 hours
over local roads that were gravel and just graded with a hay
rake. Many world records came his way that. Eventually killed
later when he ran into a horse. No fences in those days.
From Maffra we rode on a timed trial up to another lovely
little place called Dargo up the high country that lies
between Melbourne and Sydney. Very hilly and forested with
mountain streams running down the valleys. Very beautiful.
About 120 old bikes on the run. Many Velos and Vincents. I
met one old man who son was riding an immaculate Thruxton
Venom. He was riding a Vincent sidecar outfit. He saw my
Norton T-shirt and told me he had 17 of them including several
Manx’s that had won international races. Lots of old boys like
him on the run. Always surprises my biking vistors to discover
just how many really good British bikes still exist and get
used in Oz.
Return journey was uneventful part from the fact I
over-adjusted my rear brake which seized until I backed it
off. A Round trip 500miles. Bike starts first kick now. Plug
now also a much better colour and cleaner. Brakes still a bit
dicky in modern traffic but I’ll get some more modern compound
linings fitted soon.
Very interesting that no-one amongst a very knowledgeable
group picked your maggie as different from the original. The
other thing is that climbing the big hills in the high country
the advance/retard seemed spot on. No pinking and always a
clean pick up too. Best bit about the whole thing though is
the dead easy ”can’t get it wrong” fitting procedure and the
fact that timing then stays right ever more.
I’m delighted with the magneto.

"I want to
say how pleased I am with my new electronic mag/dyno from you
folks. My son and I installed it together onto my 1958 BSA
Gold Star DBD34 500cc. It installed very easily and your
instructions are perfect. My son had the honour of starting it
first and what a smile for both of us - It literally started
1/2 way through first the kick and ran perfectly! He kept the
bike running while I installed the seat and it did not load up
or foul at all. Although it was the day after Christmas and
9:30 pm he rode it in very cold weather and it ran perfectly.
I'm hoping my 29 year old son will continue his interest in
classic British motorcycles.
Thank you very much and also for the quick shipment that was
received in just a few days".

"Peter,
Installed your BT-H ignition on my Velo on Friday & took it
out for a 125 mile ride on Saturday. WOW!! I thought that I
had a good running bike before but your system made an
unbelievable improvement. The bike is smoother, quieter & has
more power. Uphill switchback turns that I used to have to
take in 1st gear I was able to take easily in 2nd. The
throttle response is perfect with no lags or surging. I will
recommend your unit to anyone who is complaining about their
old mag.
I am interested in knowing the advance curve for the Velo
unit. Is it the same as what you have listed for the Vincent
Comet or is it different?
Thanks Very Much,
Jim."
